UNCOMMON CERAMICS

A personal project in which I explored the malleability of ceramics as a material, and how it can influence the concept of objects that could be re-created with ceramics.

I chose to explore plastic bags, which are by definition disposable, cheap, easy to make, and not very resistent. I created a ceramics version of them, and decided to use them as a planter.

This experiment allowed me to explore my capabilities in hand shaping and observe people's reaction to an object that appeared to be one thing but was actually another, not because of its shape or usage but because of the material with which it was made.

I gave the planters away.

Materials
